LADYBUG Party

Above are some additional photos from the Ladybug party theme, including images of other cakes and foods I made as well as a photo of the birthday girl.

Ladybug Cake

This was for a little "lady" turning 1.  The ladybug theme is cute for a little girl.   The color theme for the birthday was black, red, white and light blue.  Most of those colors were incorporated into the cake and cupcakes for this party.  Yes....cupcakes....before long, I will be making cake pops.  The cake was a four layer Sachertorte and the cupcakes were dark chocolate with cream cheese frosting.

SpongeBob Cake

This was a rectangular Kiev Torte made into a child's favorite character...."Spongebob Squarepants."  If I haven't mentioned it before, I absolutely love making children's cakes....they are always fund and colorful and allow so much room for using your imagination.  This was for a little boy who turned 3, who wanted nothing but a Spongebob cake for his special day.

Autumn Leaves cake

GUCCI Slipper Party

Below are some photos of other items I made for the party with the GUCCI Slipper.

And this lovely pair of slippers was one of the decor props.

GUCCI Slipper Cake

This was made for a young lady celebrating her last day of being "30".  Does no one celebrate turning 31 anymore?  It was an apricot torte covered with fondant.  The colors matched the birthday decor...hot pink and zebra.

"Superman" and " Harley Davidson" Cake

This was a Mozart torte covered in chocolate ganache and then fondant.  The birthday individual was know as super Steve and his hobby was Harley motorcycles, so we combined the two to ensure that his cake was reflected his character.  Utilized the Harley logo as the birthday sign and had it held up by tires.  The cake itself was also made into one large tire.  To add to the detail, I gave super Steve a "superman" shirt and helmet.  I also  added a map and chains to the top of the cake for authenticity. This was a fun cake to make.

Treasure Chest Cake

This cake was also made while on vacation.  The idea was to wish the birthday guy wealth and prosperity, so I made the family into characters (mom, dad and son) sitting around a treasure chest full of gems and pearls.  All in all, I was happy with the result, considering I was still working without my tools.
